Conceptually I love this —-> “publishing content purely for the pleasure of self-expression, without feeding the algorithm.

This return to intimacy echoes the early days of blogging. Before social media turned publishing into a game of optimization and performance”

Also the idea that chatbots offer a sort of judgement free listener is fascinating.

good point re: Ai free listener. I'm wondering if in the next future, AI will be in a position to actually challenge the human (like a good friend would do if you are in a weird situation in your life), and even if we'll chose to which degree we want it to be judgment-free or opinionated. Indeed, fascinating.

indeed! currently people are definitely developing weird parasocial relationships with AI bots but having one as a sort of work companion you can riff off of or ask a 'dumb' question is interesting to me.

Just read this! There was a time when my friends and I preferred finsta (wrote more about it here if you're interested https://mega-onemega.com/finsta-account-really-worth/), and to be honest, I kind of miss it. Haha.

Love it. A bit like the TV series Severance but IR-Insta-L. I tend to keep some variations of my insta even years later. Not really finstas but other layers (whether it’s writings and other musings).

Très intéressant article ; on pourrait ajouter à la liste des exemple de Ghost posters, les twitchers qui streament pour très peu de monde, voire « personne ».
